a t IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEAN1)RO RESOLUTION N0. 2653 C.M.S. RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF OUTFALL SEWER CHANNEL (UNIT N0. 63) Whereas, thy, hereinafter described territory is outside the corporate limits of the City of San Leandro; and Whereas, said territory is contiguous to the City of San Leandro; and Wl=,.eas, the City of San Leandro has been granted an easement by the State Lands Commission over the lands proposed to be annexed and hereinafter described; and Whereas, a proposal for the annexation of the hereinafter described .real property to the City of San Leandro has been submitted to and reported upon to the proponents thereof by the Boundaries Commission of the County of Alameda, State of California; with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the proposed boundaries; M. Whereas, it appears to this Council that it would be to the advantage of this City that said territory be annexed; and Whereas, said territory is uninhabited; and idhevms, it is proposed to use said territory for an outfall sever channel to carry effluent from the San Leandro Sevage Disposal Flant to the open waters of the San Francisco Bay where the same may be dissipated by the tidal movement of waters in the Bay. Nov, therefore, the City Council, of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby initiates proceedings to annex the hereinafter described territory on its own motion; That the City Council of the City of San Leandro desires to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of San Leandro for the following reasonst Said territory is contiguous to the City of San Leandro and its proposed annexa- tion to the City of San Leandro and consequent extension of the police powers of the City therefver will contribute to the orderly growth of the City;
