i <br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2652 C.M.S� <br />RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br />OF PROPERTY OPPOSITE THE SEWAGE 'TREATMENT PLANT, <br />UNIT NO. 52 <br />Whereas, the hereinafter described territory is outside the corporate limits <br />of the City of San Leandro; and <br />Whereas, said territory is contiguous to the City of San Leandro; and <br />Whereas, the City of San Leandro is the owner in fee of all of the lands pro- <br />posed to be amiexed and hereinafter described; and <br />Whereas, a proposal for the annexation of the hereinafter described real pro- <br />perty to the City of San Leandro has been submitted to and reported upon to the <br />proponents thereof by Boundaries Commission of the County of Alameda, State of <br />California; with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the proposed boundaries; <br />and <br />Whereas, it appears to this Council that it would be to the advantage of this <br />City that said territory be annexed; and. <br />Whereas, said territory is uninhabited-. <br />Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />folloGrs % <br />That the City Council of the City of,San Leandro hereby initiates proceedings <br />to annex the hereinafter described territory on its own motion; <br />That the City Council of the City of San Leandro desires to annex said uninhabited <br />territory to the City of San Leandro for the following reasons-. <br />Said territory is contiguous to the City of San Leandro and its proposed annexa- <br />tion to the City of San Leandro and consequent extension of the police powers of the <br />City thereovdr will contribute to the orderly growth of the City; <br />That said territory abuts the San Leandro Municipal Rifle Range and that the <br />annexation of said area will facilitate the improvement of the Municipal Rifle Range <br />as well as the development of the area proposed for annexation itself for public <br />recreation and other municipal purposes; and be it further <br />RESOLVED, that notice is hereby further given that at 8215 o1clock p.m. on <br />----ram <br />Mendwl July 5, 1955., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, San Leandro, California, <br />
