.we <br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN IEANDRO <br />RESoLUTI019 N0. 2653 C.M.S. <br />RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br />OF OUTFALL SEWER CHANNEL (UNIT NO. 63) <br />T.4hereas, the hereinafter described territory is outside the corporate limits <br />of the City of San Leandro; and <br />Whereas, said territory is contiguous to the City of San Leandro; and <br />Whereas, the City of San Leandro has been granted an easement by the State <br />Lands Commission over the lands proposed to be annexed and hereinafter described; <br />and <br />Whereas, a proposal for the annexation of the hereinafter described real <br />property to the City of San Leandro has been submitted to and reported upon to the <br />proponents thereof by the Boundaries Commission of the County of Alameda, State of <br />California; with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the proposed boundaries; <br />and <br />Whereas, it appears to this Council that it wanld be to the advantage of this <br />City that said territory be annexed; and <br />Whereas, said territory is uninhabited; and <br />Whereas, it is proposed to use said territory for an outfall sever channel to <br />carry effluent from the San Leandro Selvage; Disposal Plant to the open waters of the <br />San Francisco Bay where the same may be dissipated by the tidal movement of waters <br />in the Bay. <br />Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />7,,at the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby initiates proceedings to <br />annex the hereinafter described territory on its oxn motion; <br />That the City Council of the City of San Leandro desires to annex said uninhabited <br />territory to the City of San Leandro for the following reasonst <br />Said territory is contiguous to the City of San Leandro and its proposed annexa- <br />tion to the City of San Leandro and consequent extension of the police powers of the <br />City thereooer will contribute to the orderly growth of the City; <br />
