IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. C.M.S. <br />RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br />OF A PORTION OF EASTSHORE FREEWAY, UNIT NO. 77 <br />Whereas, the hereinafter described portion of Eastshore Free- <br />way is outside the corporate limits of the City of San Leandro; and <br />Whereas, the territory to the northwest of said portion of <br />Eastshore Freeway is within the corporate limits of the City of <br />San Leandro; and <br />Whereas, the written description of the proposal for the an- <br />nexation of the hereinafter described territory to the City of <br />San Leandro has heretofore been filed with the Secretary of the <br />Alameda County Boundary Commission and said Boundary Commission <br />has prepared a recommendation and report to the proponents upon <br />the annexation proposal with respect to the definiteness and cer- <br />tainty of the proposed boundaries, the non-conformance of proposed <br />�c_)undaries with lines of assessment or ownership, the creation of <br />islands or corridors of unincorporated territory and other similar <br />matters affecting the proposed boundaries; and <br />Whereas, it appears to this Council that it would be to the <br />advantage of the City of San Leandro that said territory be annexed; <br />and <br />Whereas, said territory is unincorporated; <br />Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of San Leandro <br />does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That the City Council hereby initiates proceedings to annex <br />the hereinafter described territory on its own motion; <br />That the reason of the City Council for desiring to annex such <br />territory is that such annexation is necessary to enable the City of <br />San Leandro to erect and maintain a sign designating the city limits <br />of the City of San Leandro thereby rendering greater service, con- <br />venience, utility and safety to persons travelling on the Eastshore <br />Freeway; <br />- 1 - <br />
