File Number: 22-662 <br />libraries and other community institutions provide a setting for the open exchange of <br />ideas and information and provide an opportunity for residents of all backgrounds <br />to improve their skills and knowledge. <br />·GOAL CSF-5 Provide recreation and human services programs and activities <br />commensurate with identified community needs. <br />o Policy CSF-5.2 Child and Family Services. Support the development of child and <br />family services and programs that encourage safe and healthy environments for <br />children and families. <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />By the nature of this program, we conduct outreach to the community to promote the programs <br />and the monolingual/multilingual materials distribution provided by this MOU. <br />Legal Analysis <br />The City Attorney has reviewed these documents and agreements; they are approved as to form. <br />Financial Impacts <br />Acceptance of this grant does not impact the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 General Fund budget. <br />Special grant funding will be awarded upfront and deposited into the 150-3617 Revenue Account <br />and expended as follows: <br />·First 5 Grant Fund, Account 150-68-032:$16,400 <br />·Total $16,400 <br />This Council action will not impact fund balance because the majority of the grant funds ($13,000) <br />will be awarded up front and expended in the same fiscal year, and the remainder ($3,400) will be <br />reimbursed for expenditures that occur in the same fiscal year; therefore, the Finance Department <br />will plan for revenue reimbursement in the same fiscal year. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Attachment A: Resolution of the City of San Leandro City Council to Authorize the City <br />Manager to Accept and Execute All Documents Related to the MOU Funds awarded by the <br />First 5 Alameda County to Fund Early Learn Community Events and Multilingual <br />Programming and Materials in Celebration of Dia De Los Ninos in the Amount of $16,400. <br />Attachment B: MOU First 5 Alameda County and San Leandro Public Library November 1, <br />2022 - June 30, 2023 <br />Attachment C: Proposition 10 Statutes <br />Please note: a fully executed agreement will be attached to this legislative file following approval <br />of this action. <br />Page 3 City of San Leandro Printed on 11/30/2022
