The position is currently vacant. <br />The proposed part-time Information Systems Support Technician will assist with meeting the <br />technology needs of the City Council, boards, and commissions during official meetings. The <br />classification will also be able to provide critical Helpdesk support to City staff. The position is <br />currently vacant. <br />The proposed Public Information Officer position will support the City’s public outreach, <br />communications, and information programs. The position will foster transparency by coordinating <br />internal and external communications, serve as liaison to other public agencies, professional <br />organizations, community and industry groups, residents, and the media. The position will also be <br />instrumental in developing content for multiple social media platforms. The position is currently <br />filled by an incumbent and the upgrade is supported by the recent classification study completed <br />by Koff & Associates. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The cost to upgrade the 1.0 FTE Assistant Information Technology Manager to Information <br />Technology Manager is approximately $47,641 annually. The cost to upgrade the 0.5 FTE <br />Audio-Visual Services Operator to 0.5 FTE Information Systems Support Technician is $37,237 <br />annually. There is sufficient funding available in the Information Technology budget for FY <br />2022-2023 to fully cover the additional cost. <br />The cost to upgrade the 1.0 FTE Management Analyst I to Public Information Officer is <br />approximately $21,268 annually.
