IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2023- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO ACCEPT GRANT AWARDS FROM CALIFORNIA RESILIENCE CHALLENGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $161,000 FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE SHORELINE MASTER PLAN TO ACCOUNT 150-57-204-5120 WHEREAS, the California Resilience Challenge is a statewide effort, led by businesses, with support from the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, and a diverse array of environmental and community leaders, to develop a pipeline of climate adaptation projects across the state to strengthen local and regional resilience to heat, drought, floods, and wildfire; and WHEREAS, successful Applicants will enter into a contract with the California Resilience Challenge to complete the scope of the project as outlined in the grant application. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: Appropriation of Grant Funds to Account 150-57-204-5120 is authorized; and Action by the City Manager is approved and execution is authorized to accept the grant awards in the combined amount of $161,00 for the development of the Shoreline Master Plan; and 1. The City of San Leandro, as the Applicant, certifies that if the project is awarded, the Applicant has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project, and 2. The City of San Leandro, as the Applicant, certifies that the Applicant has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the General Provisions contained in the contract shown in the Grant Acceptance Form; and 3. The City Council delegates the authority to the City Manager or her designees (Deputy City Manager, Sustainability Manager, Public Works Director, Finance Director) to sign and submit all documents, including, but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, and payment requests, which may be necessary for the completion of the Grant Scope; and 4. The City of San Leandro agrees to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and guidelines.
