IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2023- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT AND EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE GRANT FUNDS AWARDED BY THE CALIFORNIA HUMANITIES’ LIBRARY INNOVATION LAB GRANT TO FUND THE SAN LEANDRO PUBLIC LIBRARY’S EFFORTS TO RESEARCH AND IMPLEMENT PUBLIC HUMANITIES PROGRAMMING FOR IMMIGRANT YOUTH POPULATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,500 WHEREAS, California Humanities is an independent nonprofit that supports local public libraries and statewide humanities programs and services; and WHEREAS California Humanities offers an annual competitive Library Innovation Lab (LIL) grant program that enables libraries to research, design, implement, and assess public humanities programming that engages immigrant communities; and WHEREAS, the San Leandro Public Library has historically been awarded funds by California Humanities for projects benefitting the community; and WHEREAS, the San Leandro Public Library was awarded a Library Innovation Lab grant of $5,500 to research, design, implement, and assess public humanities programs that engage immigrant youth in our community. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: 1. That the City Council accepts, and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents related to the LIL award for research, design, implementation, and assessment of public humanities programs that engage immigrant youth in our community totaling $5,500.00; and 2. That an appropriation of the LIL funding of $5,500 in revenue account #150-3617 and expenditure account #150-68-007 is approved; and 3. That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made a part of this resolution.
