IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2023- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION FOR COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CAP) GRANTS FOR FISCAL YEARS 2023-2024 AND 2024-2025, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO CORRESPONDING CAP GRANT AGREEMENTS NOT TO EXCEED $160,000 PER FISCAL YEAR WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the important work of the City's human services community- based organizations in creating a safety net for the City's most vulnerable populations; and WHEREAS, the City Council supports efforts to address the following areas: mental health, hunger, shelter, safety net health care, domestic violence and other related areas of need in San Leandro; and WHEREAS, the City Council received and acknowledged the need for certain health and human services as identified in the Human Services Gap Analysis. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: That the City Manager is authorized to enter into CAP Grant agreements with the Recipients identified below, as recommended by the City of San Leandro Human Services Commission, for a total amount not to exceed $160,000 per fiscal year using account 010-63-014-8513 in the Fiscal Years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 proposed budget: AGENCY GENERAL FUND (CAP) East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC) $35,000 Family Violence Law Center (FVLC) $41,000 Pathways Counseling Center at Seneca $35,000 Ruby’s Place $31,000 Safe Alternatives from Violent Environments (SAVE) $18,000 TOTAL $160,000 (per fiscal year) Introduced by Councilmember _______ and passed and adopted this 1st day of May 2023, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ATTEST: Kelly B.
