Full compensation for conforming to the provisions of these <br />Special Provisions including; furnishing all labor, materials, supplies, signs, lights, <br />tools, equipment, and incidentals, the labor and the materials, for all the work <br />involved, including maintenance of the equipment, installation and removal of the <br />equipment, as specified herein, and as directed by the Director, or designee shall be <br />considered as included in the contract price and no additional compensation will be <br />allowed therefore. <br /> <br />107 Temporary Storage of Material and Equipment <br /> <br />(a) No material or equipment shall be stored where it will interfere with the free and <br />safe passage of the public. At the end of each day's work and at other times when <br />maintenance operations are suspended for any reason, the Contractor shall remove <br />all equipment and other obstructions from the w ork site. <br /> <br />108 Change Orders <br /> <br />(a) If the City makes any other substantial change to the landscaping in a contract area, <br />the City and Contractor shall negotiate any necessary adjustments to the monthly <br />maintenance contract. The City reserves the right to remove any area from the <br />maintenance contract if agreement cannot be reached <br /> <br />109 Extra Work <br /> <br />(a) The City may request extra work from the Contractor as needs arise. Contractor <br />will only be compensated for work which is approved in writing by the City in <br />advance. The City reserves the right to accomplish extra work with City forces or <br />with other contractors instead of this Maintenance Contractor. <br /> <br />(b) Upon notification that extra work will be required, the Contractor shall submit an <br />itemized, written cost proposal for such work to the City. The City shall retain the <br />right to reject such cost proposal and perform the extra work with City forces or <br />other contractors. Should the proposal be acceptable to the City, the Contractor <br />shall be advised in writing and upon receipt of such written notification shall begin <br />the work within five (5) working days or as mutually agreed to between the <br />Contractor and the C ity. <br /> <br />(c) The Contractor shall do such extra work in accordance with the agreement for extra <br />work and with the provisions of these specifications and shall furnish all labor, <br />materials and equipment. Any extra work shall be performed in a manner and time <br />that does not negate the normal contracted work and schedule. The City reserves <br />the right to have other contractors perform extra work.
