EXHIBIT C - MITIGATION MONITORING PROGRAM <br />June 2023 C-15 SF Bay Fiber Optic Cables Project <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 Likely Descendent shall be identified. No work is to proceed in the discovery <br />2 area until consultation is complete and procedures to avoid or recover the <br />3 remains have been implemented. <br /> <br />4 Location: Terrestrial Project areas <br />5 Monitoring/Reporting Action: Contact retained archaeologist and the CSLC <br />6 within 24 hours of discovery. <br />7 Archaeologist will consult with County Coroner. <br />8 Effectiveness Criteria: Implementation of this MM will reduce the potential for <br />9 impacts on human remains. <br />10 Responsible Party: Applicant and CSLC <br />11 Timing: During construction <br /> <br />12 <br />13 <br /> <br />14 MM CUL-3/TCR-3: Cultural and Tribal Resources Awareness Training. Before <br />15 beginning construction, Bandwidth must hire a qualified archaeologist and a <br />16 culturally affiliated tribal monitor (if requested by culturally affiliated tribes) to <br />17 prepare a Cultural Resources Contractor Awareness Training subject to CSLC <br />18 approval. The training shall be given by a qualified archaeologist and a <br />19 culturally affiliated tribal monitor (if one is available) to all construction personnel <br />20 before working on the Project, and the training shall include, but not be limited <br />21 to, the following: <br /> <br />22 Guidance on identifying potential cultural resources encountered <br />23 The probability of exposing cultural resources <br />24 Clear direction on procedures if a find is encountered <br /> <br />25 Location: Terrestrial Project areas <br />26 Monitoring/Reporting Action: Qualified archaeologist retained and training for <br />27 all personnel prior to working on the Project. <br />28 Effectiveness Criteria: Implementation of this MM will reduce the potential for <br />29 impacts on archaeological resources. <br />30 Responsible Party: Applicant and CSLC <br />31 Timing: Before construction <br />Potential Impact: Cultural Resources – Impacts to previously unknown terrestrial <br />archaeological resources <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 8D8CF2E2-DF6D-4A11-B610-2B1544DD7C30
