General Information and Requirements <br />The City’s General Requirements are written to apply to many/all types of work that contractors perform for <br />the City. The City acknowledges that not all sections will apply to every service. <br /> <br />Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies required to provide the services, <br />as listed in the Scope of Work. <br />100 Laws to be Observed <br />(a) The Contractor shall keep himself fully informed of all existing and future County, State and Federal <br />laws and regulations, as well as all municipal ordinances and regulations of the City, which in any <br />manner, affect those engaged or employed in the work and of all such orders and decrees of bodies <br />or tribunals having any jurisdiction or authority over the same. <br /> <br />(b) The Contractor shall protect and indemnify the City and all of its Officers, Officials, Employees, <br />Agents, Volunteers and Servants against any c laim or liability arising from or based on the violation <br />of any such laws, ordinances, regulations, orders, or decrees whether by himself or his employees. <br />If any discrepancy or inconsistency is discovered in the specifications or contract for the work in <br />relation to any such law, ordinance, regulation, order or decree, the Contractor shall forthwith report <br />the same to the Director in writing. <br />101 Compliance with Laws <br />(a) Contractor, his agents and employees, shall comply with all laws, San Leandro ordinances, rules <br />and regulations of the Federal, State, County, the City of San Leandro, and all governing bodies <br />having jurisdiction applying to work done or to be done under the agreement. <br />(b) All services rendered shall be provided in accordance with all ordinances, resolutions, statutes, rules, <br />and regulations of the City, and any Federal, State, or local governmental agency having jurisdiction <br />in effect at the time service is provided. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all permits and <br />licenses required to perform work. <br />102 Work Schedule <br />(a) The Contractor shall conduct all operations during the hours designated in Exhibit A unless otherwise <br />approved by the City. The City reserves the right to change schedules for any reason, such as <br />special events. <br />(b) Contractor is responsible for (i) having thoroughly investigated and considered the scope of services <br />to be performed, (ii) carefully considering how the services should be performed, and (iii) fully <br />understanding the facilities, difficulties, and restrictions attending the performance of the services <br />required. Contractor is responsible to investigate each site and be fully acquainted with the conditions <br />of each site. Should the Contractor discover any latent or unforeseeable conditions, which will <br />materially affect the performance of services, Contractor shall immediately inform the City of such <br />fact and shall not proceed except at Contractor’s risk until written instructions are received from the <br />City. <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: ED026586-45BF-457C-B317-CC6A9075C2DC
