Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Last revised 02/23/2024 ABG Art Group for Mural Installation Services Exhibit A – Page 1 of 2 EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES ABG Art Group (ABG) shall curate and facilitate original public artworks, murals, and/or community spaces in the city of San Leandro: ABG will work with City staff to identify high impact outdoor sites within the areas of focus and shall independently contract with the private property owners for the installation of art on their property. ABG shall assist the City with sourcing the best possible artistic talent from both local and international artists, secure their availability and willingness to participate in the project. ABG shall create a presentation of available artists and concepts for the City of San Leandro. ABG shall draft independent agreements between ABG and the property owners. ABG shall draft independent agreements between ABG and the artists for the creation and installation of original art. ABG shall obtain and maintain the proper insurance as required by this Agree ment, as well as include required legal language in independent contracts between ABG and the artists and property owners respectively. ABG shall interface between the City of San Leandro, the property owners, and the artists as it pertains to final design approvals, renderings and submissions. ABG shall work directly with the artists as it pertains to creative direction, feasibility, production and layout of desired sites. ABG shall source materials, production items, lifts and scaffolding, and other items required in order to complete installation of artworks. ABG shall coordinate final design, development, fabrication, and installation of each artwork with the artists, City staff, and the property owners. ABG shall manage production sites and hold daily check-ins with the artists during production, manage artist needs and materials in efforts to keep production moving smoothly and on time. ABG shall design and produce proper signage, stencil, or labeling materials for posting on sites upon completion of installation, to acknowledge funders, participants, artists, and the City of San Leandro. Upon completion, all sites will be sealed with an anti-vandalism clear coat. This sealant, called “Graffiti Defenz Sheercoat,” was developed by Precita Eyes Mural Arts Company of San Francisco and is a UV - protectant that seals the color in and delays the fading from sun exposure, providing mural art with long lasting color vibrancy and brilliance.
