Exhibit B – Page 1 of 2 <br />EXHIBIT B <br /> <br />COMPENSATION SCHEDULE & REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES <br /> <br />The cost of the investigation is dependent on the position of the applicant. <br /> <br />• $2200 for sworn personnel (Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain). <br /> <br />• $2000 for all other civilian positions. <br /> <br />• The pricing structure is subject to change or revision, with adjustments accounting for <br />factors such as inflation or market changes. <br /> <br />• IRS Standard Mileage Rate (67 cents per mile) will apply for necessary travel during <br />the investigations. Examples: neighborhood checks, record retrieval/review, employer <br />contacts, etc.The mileage rate will adhere to the current IRS standard mileage rate for the year Services <br />are provided. <br /> <br />• Records that require a separate fee, such as DMV records, Credit Reports, Court <br />records, etc., will be billed to the agency at cost or $35 per report, whichever is <br />greater. <br /> <br />• Any significant travel for the background investigation will be performed with prior <br />approval from SLPD, and SLPD will be charged per diem, lodging, and travel expenses. <br /> <br />• If we determine that a candidate is not qualified to continue in the background <br />investigation process, we will immediately stop the investigation and notify SLPD of <br />the findings. <br /> <br />• VI will provide a memorandum summarizing all disqualifying findings. All background <br />documentation collected will be turned over to SLPD and will become SLPD's <br />property. <br /> <br />• A Pro-rated fee will be charged for the amount of investigation that was completed on the disqualified <br />applicant prior to background investigation completion: <br /> <br />• VI strives to complete the background report within 5 weeks. However, some <br />investigations might take longer due to their complexity, and SLPD will be notified. <br /> <br />• The 5-week time period starts on the day of the PHS interview. SLPD will be provided a <br />short synopsis of the PHS interview and notified of any issues that would delay or <br />preclude a candidate from continuing in the selection process. <br /> <br />• All services billed to SLPD will be paid no later than 30 days after invoice. <br /> <br />• SLPD indemnifies VI against any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from the <br />DocuSign Envelope ID: 58BB9655-AF29-4AF5-91C4-6309A60A5A17
