<br />Amendment No. 1 to <br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Pacific 4/5/2024 <br />Wastewater Optimization for Capital Improvements Planning Services Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND <br />PACIFIC WASTEWATER OPTIMIZATION <br />FOR <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PLANNING SERVICES <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />This Amendment No.1 (“Amendment”) is made by and between the City of San Leandro (“City”) <br />and Pacific Wastewater Optimization (“Consultant”) (together sometimes referred to as the “Parties”) as of <br />April 3, 2024, and amends that certain Consulting Services Agreement (“Agreeme nt”) dated December 1, <br />2023, between the Parties. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City and Consultant have executed the Agreement, pursuant to which Consultant has <br />provided certain consulting services to City with regard to capital improvements planning services, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Parties desire to amend the Agreement to add additional scope to planning <br />services. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is hereby <br />acknowledged, the Parties hereby amend the Agreement as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1. Section 2 of the Agreement entitled “Compensation” is hereby amended to pay Consultant a <br />sum not to exceed $99,340; and <br /> <br />2. Exhibit A of the Agreement entitled “Scope of Services” is hereby amended to read: <br /> <br />Fixed Film Reactor - Environmental Assessment and Technical Report <br />Over the past ten years, a few samples of the filter media have been collected and analyzed by internal <br />and external contractors with varying results. These samples were taken from unknown locations and the <br />methods of collection/preservation were not documented. <br />The first step of the larger demolition effort will be to perform a well-planned, documented, and <br />comprehensive environmental assessment. The proposed scope specifically includes. <br />Test Plan – Prepare a written test plan documenting the sample locations, sample handling, <br />chain of custody, storage, and recommended analytical tests.
