Non-Professional Services Agreement between JUNE 11, 20224 City of San Leandro and Hover Pictures—Exhibit A Page 1 of 4 EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES Project Title: Community Voices, 21st Century in San Leandro Community Voices aims to bring San Leandro’s 21st Century history to light through the medium of film. The film will showcase the experiences of five community members who have been a part of developmental changes in San Leandro history or have a unique connection to a historical moment during this time. This project will leverage the expertise of the historical research and curation from the San Leandro History Museum’s curator, Dylainie Nathlich, combined with the storytelling prowess of Hover Pictures. The Museum Curator will be responsible for the selection and scheduling of all interviewees involved in the project. The overall theme is to showcase the pivotal events, technological advancements, cultural shifts, and societal changes over the last twenty years in San Leandro. Hover Pictures mission is to capture the essence of San Leandro, not just through the words of the community interviews, but also through the visual storytelling that surrounded their lives. Over the course of two production days, the Hover Pictures team will engage with five diverse community members (selected by Museum Curator), delving deep into their unique experiences and perspectives. They will enrich the narrative with a variety of supporting B-roll footage. The interviews will be artfully woven into a video piece, designed to be a central feature of the new exhibit, 21st Century Voices in San Leandro at the San Leandro History Museum. Objectives: 1. Create an engaging and informative film that highlights key historical narratives from selected San Leandro community members to be featured in the new exhibit, Community Voices, 21st Century in San Leandro. 2. Increase public awareness and interest of San Leandro’s history through accessible and visually compelling storytelling. 3. Foster collaboration between the San Leandro History Museum and Hover Pictures to explore innovative ways of presenting history to diverse audiences. Scope of Work: Pre – Production 1. The Museum and Hover Pictures will work together to conduct initial meetings between the filmmaker and Museum Curator to discuss project goals, themes, and logistical details. 2. The Museum and Hover Pictures will work together to develop a project timeline outlining key milestones and deadlines. 3. The Museum and Hover Pictures will work together to research and gather materials necessary for the development of the film. 4. The Museum Curator will identify key stakeholders, interview cast, and filming locations. 5. The Museum and Hover Pictures will work together to draft a script or outline for the film, incorporating input from the Museum Curator. 6. The Museum and Hover Pictures will work together to plan, write, and develop the story and visual language, incorporating input from the Museum Curator.
