<br />Amendment No. 1 to <br />Non-Professional Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and <br />Impec Group for Citywide Janitorial Services Page 2 of 3 <br />Contractor shall supply paper products, including janitorial paper products, with a minimum percentage of <br />post-consumer recycled content (PCRC) as follows: <br /> <br /> Toilet paper – 45% PCRC <br /> Paper towels and wipers – 40% PCRC <br /> Toilet seat covers – 20% <br /> Facial tissue – 10% PCRC <br /> <br />Additionally, paper purchases must be recyclable and be labeled with an “unqualified recyclable label,” as <br />defined in the Federal Trade Commission’s “Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims.” An <br />unqualified recyclable label indicates that recycling facilities are available to at least 60 percent of the <br />consumers or communities where the item is sold. <br /> <br />A list of compliant janitorial paper products is available at https://www.stopwaste.org/at-work/sustainable- <br />purchasing/implementation-resources/compliant-product-lists <br /> <br />Contractor shall submit written verification from product vendors certifying that paper products meet the <br />PCRC and recyclability requirements. <br /> <br />Contractor may request exemptions due to unavailability or excessive costs. Contractor shall not purchase <br />non compliant products without City approval. <br /> <br />Contractor shall submit all janitorial paper purchasing receipts to the City of San Leandro’s Solid Waste and <br />Recycling Program monthly. Receipts should be submitted to Recycle@SanLeandro.org <br /> <br />2.
