Non-Professional Services Agreement between MAY 28, 2024 City of San Leandro and Sam’s Signs—Exhibit A Page 1 of 3 EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES Project Title: Community Voices, 21st Century in San Leandro Sam’s Signs will design, fabricate, and install a new exhibit within the Museum premises. The exhibit will encapsulate the transformative period in San Leandro’s history from 2000 – 2020. The overall theme is to showcase the pivotal events, technological advancements, cultural shifts, and societal changes over the last twenty years in the area. The exhibit will host a timeline with key moments, a multimedia monitor featuring a film starring community members that discusses their experiences and memories, alongside interpretive signage that highlights the diversity of today’s population and guides visitors to a “call to action”. The proposed addition would include three major parts, they are as follows: 1. Timeline Rail Display: The timeline would serve as a comprehensive chronological display with significant milestones, such as technological advancements, socio-political movements, global events, and census records to show the increase in diversity from the year 2000 – 2020. 2. Community Voices: The monitor will showcase ~ 5 interviews, anecdotes, and personal narratives collected from members of the San Leandro community. The stories will offer the visitor insights into how the community experienced and shaped the last twenty years. The interviewees would likely be from different cultural groups and varying in ages from 16-99+. 3. Interpretive Signage: San Leandro today reflects many different cultures, ethnicities, beliefs, and orientations. The exhibit will celebrate the recent history and acknowledge the communities that contribute to the vibrant city of San Leandro today. It will emphasize the importance of understanding and respecting the differences as a foundational element in shaping an inclusive future. The signage would end with a call to action for the visitor, extending the opportunity on how to volunteer within the City of San Leandro. Sam’s Signs will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of the timeline rail display, enclosure for the monitor, additional temporary wall, and all interpretive signage. The Museum Curator will work closely with Sam’s signs to ensure the completion of the project is completed to scope and expectation of the Museum Curator. Project Deliverables: 1. Design Content a. Sam’s Signs will provide design mock-up concepts and renderings for the review and approval by the Museum Curator. b. The Museum Curator will provide all content and images for the design and creation of the exhibit in the form of PDF Vector format. c. Sam Signs will provide fabrication of all exhibit components including: i. One Neon LED Sign ii. Raceway Enclosure for electrical 58”x58”x4” iii.
