<br />“Alternative Intermediate Cover” or “AIC” has the same meaning as in 27 CCR Section 20700.
<br />“Appliances” means discarded household appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, clothing washers and
<br />dryers, water heaters, dishwashers, etc., and similar items discarded by Residential Generators.
<br />“Applicable Law” means all Federal, State, County, and local laws, regulations, rules, orders, judgments,
<br />decrees, permits, approvals, or other requirement of any governmental agency having jurisdiction over
<br />the Collection, Transportation, Processing, and Disposal of Recyclable Materials, Organic Materials, C&D
<br />Debris, Disaster Debris (as defined in Section 4.7), and Solid Waste that are in force on the Effective Date
<br />and as may be enacted, issued, or amended during the Term of this Agreement. The Parties acknowledge
<br />that, as of the date of this Agreement, the State has passed legislation including, but not limited to, AB
<br />1201, SB 54, SB 343, and the Advanced Clean Fleets Rule, where further regulatory requirements may be
<br />established.
<br />“Approved C&D Processing Facility” means the Davis Street Resource Recovery Complex and Transfer
<br />Station, which is owned and operated by Waste Management of Alameda County, Inc. Under the limited
<br />circumstances described in Section 4.1.B, the City has pre-approved the use of the Redwood Landfill in
<br />Novato, CA, the Guadalupe Landfill in San Jose, and K&M in Sacramento, CA.
<br />“Approved Commercial Organic Materials Processing Facility” means the Organic Materials Composting
<br />Facility (OMCF) located at the Davis Street Resource Recovery Complex and Transfer Station, which is
<br />owned by Waste Management of Alameda County, Inc., and the Altamont CASP, which is owned and
<br />operated by Waste Management of Alameda County, Inc.
<br />“Approved Disposal Facility” means the Altamont Landfill, which is owned and operated by Waste
<br />Management of Alameda County, Inc. Under the limited circumstances described in Section 4.1.B, the City
<br />has pre-approved the use of the Redwood Landfill in Novato, CA which is owned and operated by the
<br />Redwood Landfill, Inc.
<br />“Approved Facility(ies)” means any one of or combination of the: Approved Disposal Facility; Approved
<br />Residential Organic Materials Processing Facility; Approved Commercial Organic Materials Processing
<br />Facility; and/or the Approved C&D Processing Facility.
<br />“Approved Processing Facility(ies)” means the Approved Residential Organics Processing Facility; the
<br />Approved Commercial Organic Materials Processing Facility, and/or the Approved C&D Processing Facility.
<br />“Approved Residential Organic Materials Processing Facility” means the Altamont CASP, which is owned
<br />and operated by Waste Management of Alameda County, Inc. Under the limited circumstances described
<br />in Section 4.1.B, the City has pre-approved the use of the Redwood CASP in Novato, CA which is owned
<br />and operated by Redwood Landfill, Inc.
