EXHIBIT B1 <br />SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL SERVICES <br />July 15, 2024 Page B1-4 Franchise Agreement, Exhibit B1 <br />Other Requirements: If Contractor determines that material placed in any Container for Collection is <br />Hazardous Waste, Designated Waste, or other material that may not legally be <br />Disposed of at the Designated Disposal Location or handled at the Processing <br />sites or presents a hazard to Contractor's employees, the Contractor shall have <br />the right to refuse to accept such material, provided that Contractor leaves a <br />Non-Collection Notice in accordance with Section 5.3.B of this Agreement. <br /> Single-Family Customers with Bin Collection service will be charged Multi-Family <br />Rates for Bins. <br />4. Used Oil and Filter Collection <br />Contractor shall Collect Used Motor Oil and Filters and used cooking oil placed in a Contractor-provided <br />Used Oil Recovery Kit from Single-Family Customers and shall Recycle all Used Motor Oil and Filters and <br />used cooking oil Collected pursuant to this Agreement. <br />Containers: Used Oil Recovery Kit or Customer supplied plastic semi-rigid jugs not to exceed <br />five (5)-quart/ liter per jug (i.e., original containers from new oil). <br />Container Sizes: 1-gallon filter bags; and, oil jugs not to exceed five (5) quarts. <br />Service Frequency: Up to one (1) time per week and up to three (3) Used Oil Recovery Kits or three <br />(3) Customer supplied jugs as described above on the same day as Solid Waste <br />Collection service. <br />Service Location: Curbside (adjacent to Cart) <br />Acceptable Materials: Used Motor Oil and Filter, used cooking oil <br />Prohibited Materials: Recyclable Materials, Organic Materials, Solid Waste, Excluded Waste <br />Additional Service: Not applicable <br />Other Requirements: Contractor shall provide a Used Oil Recovery Kit to a Customer within five (5) <br />Working Days of Customer request, at no additional cost to Customer. Upon <br />Collection of Used Motor Oil and Filter from a Customer, Contractor shall leave a <br />clean and empty Used Oil Recovery Kit adjacent to the Recyclables Cart. <br /> Contractor shall Recycle the Used Motor Oil and Filter and used cooking oil only <br />with Persons who are authorized by the State of California to Recycle such <br />materials. In the event the Used Motor Oil and Filter and/or used cooking oil <br />Collected pursuant to this Agreement is contaminated to the extent that the <br />materials require Disposal as a Hazardous Waste, Contractor shall Dispose of <br />such materials, at Contractor’s own cost and expense in accordance with <br />Applicable Law. <br /> Contractor shall notify the City Contract Manager of any contamination which <br />renders the Used Motor Oil and Filter or used cooking oil unacceptable for <br />Recycling or which requires Disposal as a Hazardous Waste. <br /> Contractor shall keep all Used Motor Oil and Filters and used cooking oil <br />Collected pursuant to this Agreement segregated from other materials. <br /> Contractor may refuse to Collect Used Motor Oil and Filter if it is not contained <br />in an approved Used Oil Recovery Kit, provided that Contractor leaves a Non- <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 908A450D-1F36-4C09-B8A4-C1D639B5A05A
