Recyclable Materials Collection <br />Contractor shall Collect Recyclable Materials placed in Contractor-provided Containers (or otherwise <br />placed in accordance with this Section) one (1) time per week from Single-Family Customers and Transport <br />all Recyclable Materials to the Designated Recyclable Materials Processing Facility for Processing. <br />Containers: Carts <br />Container Sizes: 32-, 64-, and 96-gallons (or comparable sizes approved by the City) as selected <br />by the Customer. <br />Service Frequency: One (1) time per week on the same day as Organic Materials and Solid Waste <br />Collection services. <br />Service Location: Curbside <br />Acceptable Materials: Recyclable Materials <br />Prohibited Materials: Solid Waste, Organic Materials, Excluded Waste <br />Additional Service: Single-Family Customers shall receive one (1) Recyclable Materials Cart. Upon <br />request by a Single-Family Customer, Contractor shall provide one (1) additional <br />Recyclable Materials Container at no additional charge. For Single-Family <br />Customers requesting Recyclable Materials Containers beyond two (2), <br />Contractor shall provide the additional Recyclable Materials Carts at Rates <br />approved by the City. <br /> Contractor shall allow Single-Family Customers to place flattened Cardboard <br />(pieces no larger than two [2] feet by three [3] feet) adjacent to the Recyclable <br />Materials Cart on their regularly scheduled Collection day at no additional <br />charge to the Customer. <br /> Contractor shall accept Household Batteries in the Recyclable Materials <br />program, provided that those batteries have been separately packaged in a <br />sealed, clear plastic bag on top of the Recyclable Materials Cart. <br />Other Requirements: <br />Contractor may refuse to Collect a Recyclable Materials Container that contains <br />more than ten percent (10%) by volume of Prohibited Container Contaminants, <br />provided that Contractor leaves a Non-Collection Notice in accordance with <br />Section 5.3.B of this Agreement. Contractor shall inform the Customer of their <br />options to either remove the Prohibited Container Contaminants or pay the City- <br />approved Rate to have the contents of the contaminated Recyclable Materials <br />Container Collected as Solid Waste. Contractor may charge the Customer the <br />City-approved Rate for a special pick-up if the Customer elects to have their <br />corrected or contaminated Recyclable Materials Container serviced before the <br />next regular Collection day. Prior to refusing Collection of a contaminated <br />Container and leaving a Non-Collection Notice, Contractor must provide two (2) <br />Courtesy Collections, and leave Courtesy Collection Notices in accordance with <br />Section 5.3.B of this Agreement. Contractor shall keep a record of all Non- <br />Collection Notices and Courtesy Notices issued to Customers, recording at a <br />minimum the date, Customer address, and material type of the Container in <br />Docusign Envelope ID: 908A450D-1F36-4C09-B8A4-C1D639B5A05A
