Much as was accomplished
during the initial plan development, this process should include continuously posting on
the LHMP on City’s website and then advertising the update on social media platforms
annually. Other strategies to solicit public involvement are to present the LHMP’s status
at City Council Meetings, and to provide LHMP information at various City sponsored
events.
Final Hazard Mitigation Plan Approvals and Adoption
Based on the previous tasks, NPA shall prepare a preliminary draft of the updated LHMP.
NPA shall make sure that each required component specified is included in the draft. The
preliminary draft shall be made available to the IWG for review and comment.
NPA shall incorporate comments from the IWG and
prepare a public review draft to be distributed to all stakeholders and the public. NPA shall collect
and incorporate comments from the public review, make all necessary revisions, and prepare a
Final Plan for submittal to Cal OES and FEMA Region IX for their review and approval.
Upon approval by Cal OES and FEMA, the Plan shall be presented to the City Council for
adoption by resolution. NPA is responsible for all required plan revisions from Cal OES,
FEMA, and other stakeholders, including the incorporation of both the Letter of Approval
from FEMA and the Proof of Adoption to the final draft plan.
At final delivery, NPA shall provide a minimum of three (3) hardcopies and digital copies
(in Word and PDF) of the final draft and completed FEMA LHMP review crosswalk to
the City’s Project Manager.
Docusign Envelope ID: C52B82D1-BCAD-4260-AF1B-3FCC857FC38E
