<br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Last revised 10/28/2024 <br />HDR, Inc. for Nutrient Alternatives Evaluation Exhibit A – Page 6 of 7 <br />Alternative Discussion Meeting #1 (up to three hours in duration; attended by up to three HDR team <br />members): <br />Identify data gaps. <br />Discuss which unit processes have capacity. <br />Develop a list of conceptual alternatives to consider (this scope is based on as many as three <br />alternatives). <br />Present concept for a $5 million and a $10 million alternative. <br />Alternative Discussion Meeting #2 (up to three hours in duration; attended by up to three HDR team <br />members): <br />Present the facility needs and adverse and ancillary impacts for each conceptual alternative. <br />Make recommendations for a more detailed look in the next round (formal RFP) <br />ASSUMPTIONS T 4.3: <br />Each meeting will last up to three hours and be attended by up to three HDR team members. <br />The alternatives evaluation will consider facility needs, semi-quantitative costs, and the adverse and <br />ancillary impacts. <br />The draft and final technical memorandum (TM) will be up to 10 pages (excluding appendices). This <br />TM will consist of an executive summary and include the work products prepared and presented <br />for this task order No. 1 as PowerPoint presentation slides. <br />Please note the following information: Any cost, value, or savings estimates HDR provides. Inc. are <br />intended for comparative evaluation purposes only and do not constitute a detailed evaluation or <br />prediction of actual project costs, value, or savings. These estimates are based on the <br />information available to HDR, Inc. and their experience and qualifications as professional <br />engineers. However, it is important to note that HDR, Inc. cannot guarantee that the actual <br />project cost, value, or savings will not differ from their estimates, as they have no control over the <br />impact of various factors affecting these values. <br />Task 4.4 – Design Criteria and Alternatives Evaluation Criteria Development <br />This optional task is to collaboratively develop the proposed criteria to be employed when screening <br />nutrient removal alternatives. <br />HDR will facilitate a workshop (up to two hours, attended by up to three HDR team members) to <br />discuss and agree on key design and alternative evaluation criteria for the alternative’s evaluation. <br />Tradeoffs and cost implications of various design criteria will be clearly explained to WPCP staff. <br />DELIVERABLES T 4: <br />Meeting minutes and the corresponding PowerPoint presentations (as a PDF). <br />Decision Flowchart Matrix. <br />Draft Executive Summary TM (up to 10 pages, as a PDF). <br />Docusign Envelope ID: F4C31A54-5BDC-41AE-BF85-10613D6DCA60
