IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-020 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 3 <br />TO AN EXISTING AGREEMENT WITH ALAMEDA COUNTY TO INCREASE HOMELESS HOUSING, ASSISTANCE, <br />AND PREVENTION (HHAP) FUNDING BY $200,446 FOR AN AMENDED TOTAL OF $1,224,537 <br />AND EXTEND THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT THROUGH JUNE 30, 2026 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the HHAP grant program provides flexible block grant funds to Continuums of Care, large cities <br />and counties to support regional coordination and expand or develop local capacity to end and prevent <br />homelessness in local communities throughout the state of California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has been previously allocated $1,024,091 in HHAP funds, passed <br />through the County of Alameda; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an original agreement dated October 1, 2022 is by and between the County of Alameda and City <br />of San Leandro; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council authorized a first amendment to this agreement on November 20, 2023; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council authorized a second amendment to this agreement on July 22, 2024; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County has notified the City of an additional $200,446 in HHAP funds for the City of <br />San Leandro; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a third amendment to extend the term of the existing agreement and increase the funds by <br />$200,446, for an amended total of $1,224,537 is presented to City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment to the agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That said amendments to the agreement are hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Aguilar and passed and adopted this 17th day of March 2025 by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmember Aguilar, Azevedo, Boldt, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, Mayor González (7) <br /> <br />NOES: None (0) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> Kelly B.
