<br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Last revised March 2025 <br />Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. for E.14th St (north) Pedestrian Lighting Project Exhibit A – Page 1 of 2 <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Project Description <br /> <br />The City of San Leandro proposes lighting upgrades to improve the pedestrian experience along a section <br />of E. 14th Street in the north area of the City. The project site is a section of E 14th Street, between Durant <br />Ave and Dutton Ave. The City desires to make this segment more pedestrian friendly with improved <br />pedestrian level lighting. E.14th Street is a State highway and therefore Caltrans review and approval of <br />improvements is required. <br /> <br />Scope of Services <br /> <br />The consultant previously developed the Bid PS&E under a separate agreement, which has since expired. <br />This Agreement shall extend design efforts through the completion of updated, bid-ready documents. The <br />Consultant shall coordinate meetings with all relevant City staff, including representatives from the Public <br />Works Maintenance and Engineering & Transportation Divisions. Consultant shall update the plans and <br />prepare comprehensive bid-ready construction documents (plans, technical specifications and estimated <br />costs). <br /> <br />The consultant shall also provide engineering and surveying services for the installation of pedestrian level <br />lighting along a segment of E 14th Street. The scope of work shall include: <br /> <br />Task 1: Caltrans Coordination <br />As part of the initial bid PS&E, the consultant coordinated with Caltrans to obtain a Caltrans Encroachment <br />Permit. This permit expired on September 30, 2024. A permit extension was requested and subsequently <br />granted on Jan 27, 2025 with an expiration date of July 24th, 2025. To finalize the plan sets at 100% <br />completion stage, all applicable Caltrans standards must be followed. However no additional coordination <br />with Caltrans is anticipated. If a new Caltrans encroachment permit becomes necessary, the consultant will <br />provide the required coordination as an additional service, subject to prior written approval from the City. <br /> <br />Task 2: Bid PS&E Update <br />The consultant previously completed a Bid PS&E submittal for the pedestrian lighting design along E14th <br />Street. Under this task, the consultant will update the existing Bid design documents to incorporate any <br />changes to City or industry standards, as well as modifications to the existing conditions. Also, the <br />consultant shall revise the specifications and engineer’s opinion of probable cost to align with the design <br />revisions. <br /> <br />Deliverables: <br />• Bid plans in PDF format <br />• Bid opinion of probable construction costs in Microsoft Excel format <br />• Bid technical specifications in Microsoft Word format <br /> <br />Task 3: Bid Support <br />Docusign Envelope ID: FC2C0647-39DB-43A3-9DE1-1A0227186543
