IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO AN EXISTING AGREEMENT WITH ALAMEDA COUNTY TO INCREASE HOMELESS HOUSING, ASSISTANCE, AND PREVENTION (HHAP) FUNDING BY $200,446 FOR AN AMENDED TOTAL OF $1,224,537 AND EXTEND THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT THROUGH JUNE 30, 2026 WHEREAS, the HHAP grant program provides flexible block grant funds to Continuums of Care, large cities and counties to support regional coordination and expand or develop local capacity to end and prevent homelessness in local communities throughout the state of California; and WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has been previously allocated $1,024,091 in HHAP funds, passed through the County of Alameda; WHEREAS, an original agreement dated October 1, 2022 is by and between the County of Alameda and City of San Leandro; and WHEREAS, the City Council authorized a first amendment to this agreement on November 20, 2023; and WHEREAS, the City Council authorized a second amendment to this agreement on July 22, 2024; and WHEREAS, the Alameda County has notified the City of an additional $200,446 in HHAP funds for the City of San Leandro; and WHEREAS a third amendment to extend the term of the existing agreement and increase the funds by $200,446, for an amended total of $1,224,537 is presented to City Council; and WHEREAS the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment to the agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council does RESOLVE as follows: That said amendments to the agreement are hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
