COUNCIL REQUESTS FOR FUTURE REFERRALS <br />12. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS, CALENDAR AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />13. ADJOURN <br />The order of business may be changed if deemed appropriate by the Mayor, and Council <br />consensus. <br /> <br />AMENDED AGENDA <br />The Brown Act prohibits the City Council from discussing or taking action on an item not <br />appearing on the posted agenda. The Brown Act provides three specific exceptions in <br />which the Council can act on an item not on the agenda: <br />1. When a majority of the Council decides there is an “emergency situation”. <br />2. When two-thirds of the members present (or all members if less than five members <br />present) determine there is a need for immediate action and the need to take action <br />“came to the attention of the council after the agenda being posted.” This exception does <br />not apply in situations where the Council or staff knew about the need to take immediate
