IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE A CONSULTING SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT WITH SCHAAF AND WHEELER IN THE AMOUNT OF $360,000 FOR PROFESSIONAL <br />DESIGN SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE CALTRANS COOPERATIVE IMPLEMENTATION AGREEMENT <br />PHASE FOR THE TRASH CAPTURE DEVICES, PROJECT NO.2017.0540; TO NEGOTIATE AND APPROVE <br />INDIVIDUAL CONTRACT AMENDMENTS UP TO 10% ($36,000) OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT <br />AMOUNT; AND TO NEGOTIATE AND APPROVE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS UP TO A CUMULATIVE <br />VALUE OF 25% ($90,000) OF THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT AMOUNT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Schaaf and Wheeler is the design consultant that completed the conceptual design <br />work on the trash capture devices included in the Caltrans Cooperative Implementation Agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends that Schaaf and Wheeler should be retained to perform the work of <br />the Trash Capture Device Design for CalTrans Sites in the Cooperative Implementation Agreement <br />between City and CalTrans; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Schaaf and Wheeler has agreed to the terms of the agreement pending Council <br />approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the scope of work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br /> <br />That said agreement is hereby approved, execution by the City Manager is authorized, and the City <br />Manager is authorized to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to effect the purpose and <br />intent of this Resolution; and <br /> <br />That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to negotiate and approve individual contract <br />amendments up to 10% of the original contract amount, or $36,000; and <br /> <br />That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative contract <br />amendments up to a maximum of 25% of the original contract amount, or $90,0000. <br /> <br />Introduced by Councilmember _______________ and passed and adopted this 2nd day of June 2025 <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: () <br /> <br />NOES: () <br /> <br />ABSENT: () DRAFT
