File Number: 25-238 <br />travel <br />·Mode Shift - Enable active trips instead of private auto trips, where people can connect <br />with transit services for longer distance travel <br />·Safety - Reduce and ultimately eliminate the number of severe injuries and deaths on the <br />AT Network <br />The City subsequently applied for the Active Transportation Capital Design Technical Assistance <br />Program and was awarded $100,000 in grant funds. To receive the grant funds, the City must <br />execute a supplement to the existing Master Funding Agreement with MTC. The grant funds will <br />be used for additional traffic study and to complete the design phase of the Hesperian Boulevard <br />Bike Lane Gap Closure Project. <br /> <br />In October 2023, the City received a $225,000 grant from the Alameda CTC 2023 Capital <br />Improvement Program (CIP) with a required 25% local match ($75,000) for the design of the <br />Project.
