SAN LEANDRO <br />DEMOGRAPHICS <br />A Growing City <br />Situated along the shores of San Francisco Bay, San <br />Leandro shares borders with Oakland, San Lorenzo, and <br />Ashland. As of 2020, its population stood at approximately <br />91,000 residents, reflecting an approximate 7% increase <br />from 2010 1 (see Figure 2.1). Looking ahead, the City’s <br />General Plan forecasts substantial growth, with projections <br />indicating that in 2035, San Leandro’s population is <br />expected to reach around 102,300 residents, increasing <br />approximately 12% from 2023.
