Climate change adaptation strategies <br />includes: <br />Strategy 1: Improve community-wide preparation <br />and response to hazardous conditions, <br />Strategy 2: Improve community-wide public <br />health, safety, and well-being and increase <br />resilience of vulnerable populations. <br />Strategy 3: Improve the resilience of new and <br />existing developments to climate risk. <br />Strategy 4: Support greater resilience, <br />redundancy, robustness, and reliability for local <br />and regional infrastructure networks. <br />Strategy 5: Provide greater protection and <br />reliability for water and energy resources. <br /> Strategy 6: Coordinate with local and regional <br />agencies to improve the resilience of biological <br />and cultural resources. <br />San Leandro ADA <br />Facilities Transition <br />Plan Update <br />City of San Leandro <br />Engineering and <br />Transportation <br />Department <br />The 2010 ADA Facilities Transition Plan Update is <br />the City's effort to comply with the Americans <br />with Disabilities Act (ADA), which requires the City <br />to reasonably modify its policies, practices, or <br />procedures to avoid discrimination against people <br />with disabilities. The ADA Transition Plan 14-15 <br />project successfully removed many access barriers <br />at four of the City’s most heavily used sites. The <br />project improved accessibility for all community <br />members at Marina Park, the Main Library, the <br />Marina Community Center, and the Civic Center. <br />San Leandro Plans <br />to Expand Fiber <br />Optic Network <br />City of San Leandro The City plans to expand its fiber optic network. <br />The America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) provides <br />project funds. The funds provide communities <br />with access to high-speed broadband, which aids <br />members in tasks such as job searches, <br />homework, and much more. The ARPA funds will <br />also be used to find existing issues in the fiber <br />network throughout San Leandro.
