Eligible CDBG <br />projects may include: <br />• housing subsidies for extremely low- and very low-income residents, particularly seniors, single-parent <br />households, and disabled individuals. <br />• off-site improvements for affordable housing development projects including transit improvements, lighting, <br />infrastructure, curbing and sidewalks, drainage improvements, and other supportive facilities improvements. <br />2 Goal Name Support vital community services <br />Goal Description Support a network of easily accessible needed services. Eligible CDBG activities include: <br />permanent supportive housing programs, homeless prevention, eviction prevention, mental health counseling, job <br />training, addiction recovery services, food, senior and youth services, housing and financial counseling, youth and <br />violence prevention programs: mentorship programs that benefit low- and moderate-income individuals and <br />households. <br />3 Goal Name Improve public infrastructure, facilities <br />Goal Description Ensure equitable access to safe public infrastructure while creating a safe resilient neighborhood. Eligible CDBG activities <br />include: <br />• ADA Accessibility/reduce accessibility barriers <br />• Flood and drainage mitigation <br />• Public facilities improvements to parks, community centers, youth centers, libraries, and other government <br />facilities that serve low- and moderate-income households <br />• Crime prevention activities, including street lighting in high-crime areas and designing safer public spaces with <br />clear visibility and access points. <br />• Transportation safety projects, including safe routes to school, street and infrastructure improvements, street <br />improvements that reduce pedestrian accidents, and improve or add transit bus shelters and walkways. <br />4 Goal Name Planning and Administration <br />Goal Description Provide planning and administration that achieve HUD compliance. <br />Table 22 - Goal Description - Annual Goals and Objectives <br /> <br />
