Community members want to see a commitment from the <br />City in the form of dedicated dollars and staffing, so the goals of <br />this Plan can be achieved in a timely and intentional fashion. <br />1 Operationalize the Age-Friendly San Leandro <br />initiative <br />Project Lead: Human Services Department <br />Action Step #1. Submit a more detailed Age-Friendly Action <br />Plan project implementation plan to City Council by <br />Fall/Winter 2024. <br />Action Step #2. Provide regular updates and reports to City <br />Council on Plan progress and next steps. <br />Action Step #3. Provide regular updates and collaboration <br />opportunities to City Commissions regarding Plan <br />implementation and evaluation. <br />Action Step #4. Collaborate with City departments on <br />projects that overlap with their missions to help the City <br />adopt an ‘age-friendly lens’ across all its functions. <br />Action Step #5. Identify and advocate for federal and state <br />resources (including funding) to support the <br />implementation of local age-friendly projects. <br />Action Step #6.
