Each tree in San Leandro provides a multitude of benefits, and the City of San Leandro developed this Tree <br />Master Plan t o redress in equit ies and ensure that tree canopy benefits reach a ll community members. Results <br />of the urban tree canopy study included in this Plan show th at areas with dense tree canopy cover are <br />concentrated in northeast San Leandro. Areas with lower tree canopy cover are faced with hotter temperatures, <br />more pollution, and greater risks to public health.
