2
San Leandro Baylands “North Marsh” Hydrology and Ecological Opportunities Assessment Proposal

These tasks are described in the Proposed Scope of Work below.
Proposed Scope of Work
Task 1: Project Management and Coordination
Description
ESA will conduct regular project management activities including preparation of monthly invoices and
progress reports.
ESA will participate in up to six (6) project coordination meetings with the City of San Leandro (City)
staff.
Assumptions
Project coordination meetings will be no more than 1 hour long, and will be conducted as online
webinar-format meetings.
Project coordination meetings will be held approximately every-other month, with meeting schedule
to be determined based on needs to coordinate work over the project duration (six (6) meetings over
the 12-month project duration).
Task 2: Data Collection
Task 2.1: Water Level, Topographic Survey, and Photo Documentation Data
Collection
Description
ESA staff will install and maintain four (4) recording tide gauges at four (4) locations to assess tidal water
levels within the site over a 3-month data collection period1 (Figure 1).

1 There are risks associated with field data collection, especially in the marine environment. ESA maintains insurance for
instruments and therefore takes the risk of damage to the hardware or loss. ESA also applies quality control procedures to
reduce the possibility of malfunction. However, ESA cannot guarantee that data collection will be complete. ESA will endeavor
to complete the scope of work within the estimated fee and schedule with the data actually collected. ESA’s policy is to notify
clients if a problem arises and results in the need for added effort or schedule revision, so that the appropriate remedy can be
identified and implemented. ESA reserves the right to not re-deploy instruments if the risk of damage or loss, especially due to
theft or vandalism, appears high.
Docusign Envelope ID: 9DB32912-19D0-41E8-ACE8-82408BB907DB
