January 20, 2026City Council Minutes <br />A motion was made by Mayor González, seconded by Councilmember Boldt, to <br />create an ad hoc committee consisting of Councilmember Boldt and Mayor <br />González for existing litigation (Robustelli v. City of San Leandro, Case No. <br />25CV126732) pursuant to City Charter Section 305(g). The motion CARRIED by <br />the following vote: <br />Aye:Aguilar Jr., Azevedo, Simon, González III, Bowen, Viveros-Walton, Boldt7 - <br />Enactment No: Min Order 2026-003 <br />10b.26-010 Motion to Create an Ad Hoc Committee Related to the Shoreline <br />Bankruptcy (Case No. 2:24-bk-14877) <br />Comments were made by one person. <br />A motion was made by Mayor González, seconded by Councilmember <br />Viveros-Walton, to create an ad hoc committee consisting of Vice Mayor <br />Viveros-Walton and Mayor González related to the Shoreline Bankruptcy (Case <br />No. 2:24-bk-1487). The motion CARRIED by the following vote: <br />Aye:Aguilar Jr., Azevedo, Simon, González III, Bowen, Viveros-Walton, Boldt7 - <br />Enactment No: Min Order 2026-004 <br />10c.26-015 Council Discussion and Direction to Act by Minute Order on Potential <br />Discipline of Councilmember Aguilar Under Chapter 1.13 of the San <br />Leandro Administrative Code Pursuant to Councilmember Bowen’s <br />Internal Request for Discipline Submitted on October 24, 2025 <br />Comments were made by fourteen people. <br />A motion was made by Mayor González, seconded by Councilmember Boldt, to <br />accept the findings of the investigation report pertaining to Councilmember <br />Aguilar. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: <br />Ayes: 4 - Boldt, Bowen, Viveros-Walton, González <br />Noes: 3 - Aguilar, Azevedo, Simon <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Simon, seconded by Councilmember <br />Bowen, that there should be disciplinary action. The motion CARRIED by the <br />following vote: <br />Ayes: 5 - Boldt, Bowen, Simon, Viveros-Walton, González <br />Noes: 1 - Azevedo <br />Excluded: 1 - Aguilar <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Bowen, seconded by Councilmember <br />Viveros-Walton, for disciplinary action in the form of a statement of <br />disapproval, and an admonition with the inclusion of an expectation for <br />behavioral course correction and training. The motion CARRIED by the <br />following vote: <br />Ayes: 4 - Boldt, Bowen, Viveros-Walton, González <br />Noes: 2 - Azevedo, Simon <br />Excluded: 1 - Aguilar <br />Page 3City of San Leandro
