IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 128 (1219/1250) <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING A PRELIMINARY DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS <br /> ENTERPRISE PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> FOR THE RECEIPT OF FEDERAL HIGHWAY FUNDS <br /> FINDINGS <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro in October 1988 adopted a <br /> Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program ( "DBE Program ") for program activities that are <br /> funded wholly or in part by federal highway funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, recent changes in federal law require the City of San Leandro to update the <br /> City's DBE program, goals and methodology, and specifications; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does resolve as follows: <br /> 1. The Preliminary Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program, Goals and <br /> Methodology, and Specifications for the City of San Leandro are hereby adopted and incorporated <br /> herein by reference. <br /> 2. The City Council of the City of San Leandro directs staff to implement a Public <br /> Participation Program announcing the proposed goals and rationale for said goals. <br /> Introduced by Council Member Gaivan and passed and adopted this <br /> 5th day of September 2000, by the following called vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Council Member Gaivan, Glaze, Grant, Loeffler, Nardine; <br /> Mayor Young (6) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT:Council Member Lothrop (1) <br /> Attest: 4 �b �,. ) <br /> Gayle Pete en, City Clerk <br />
