IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025-154 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A <br />COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE ALAMEDA COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR THE FIRE <br />STATION ALERTING SYSTEM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) provides fire and emergency response <br />services within the City of San Leandro under an existing agreement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ACFD manages the Alameda County Regional Emergency Communications Center <br />(ACRECC), which dispatches fire and emergency calls for the City of San Leandro and other jurisdictions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the current fire station alerting system is outdated and in need of replacement to <br />ensure faster, more reliable, and modernized emergency dispatching; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ACFD is overseeing a regional project to replace the entire fire alerting system - <br />including dispatch and all fire stations - across all jurisdictions dispatched through ACRECC; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ACFD conducted a competitive procurement process to identify a system vendor and, <br />after delays in securing an installer through separate procurement efforts, obtained approval of a <br />competitive waiver to add installation services to the vendor’s contract; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Project, including the Project budget, has been reviewed and approved by the <br />City’s representative under the Services Contract; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parties agree that FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED <br />EIGHTY-SEVEN DOLLARS AND FOURTEEN CENTS ($534,587.14) (the “Not-to-Exceed Amount”) <br />represents the Project cost without contingency, as detailed in Attachment A to the agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Project covers installation work to be performed at the following City Fire Stations: <br /> <br />• Station 9 — 450 Estudillo Avenue <br />• Station 10 — 2194 Williams Street <br />• Station 11 — 14903 Catalina Avenue <br />• Station 12 — 1065 143rd Avenue <br />• Station 13 — 637 Fargo Avenue <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the wiring diagrams for the project are detailed in Attachment B to the agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as of July 31, 2025, City has paid FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($400,000) <br />to ACFD for the Project costs and the City has appropriated the remaining funds and will reimburse ACFD <br />for the remaining actual costs ACFD incurs for the Project; and <br />
