CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> <br />Councilman Bob Glaze led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />B. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Members Badger, Glaze, Grant, Nardine, Santos; Mayor Young <br /> <br />ABSENT: Member Stephens <br /> <br />Mayor Young announced that Alameda County Superior Court Judge Peggy Hora was in <br />attendance and would administer the Oath of Office to the newly-elected <br />Councilmembers. <br /> <br />Mayor Young acknowledged other elected officials who were in attendance. <br /> <br />2. RECOGNITION OF RETIRING COUNCILMAN BOB GLAZE <br /> <br />Mayor Young presented Councilman Glaze with a plaque commemorating his service on the <br />San Leandro City Council from 1996-2004. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Badger commented that for the first three years he served on the Council, <br />Councilman Glaze had been vice mayor. He thanked Councilman Glaze for his leadership. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant thanked Councilman Glaze for speaking out in her support and for <br />inclusion and diversity on the Council. She also expressed appreciation to the Glaze family <br />for the help and support they have provided to her. <br /> <br />Councilmember Nardine commented on Councilman Glaze's love of the city, respect for City <br />staff, and calming influence on the Council. She thanked Councilman Glaze and his family <br />for their friendship and support. <br />
