CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> <br />Martin Francis led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />B. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Members Badger, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Young <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />2. PRESENTATIONS/RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Young welcomed two members of the City's Youth Advisory Commission. YAC <br />members Cathy Doan (District 4) and Donna Lee (District 2) provided the City Council with <br />an update on the activities of the Y AC, including the successful recent Youth Summit and <br />mini-grant awards. <br /> <br />A. Proclamation Declaring March 12 - 18, 2006 as "Sunshine Week" in the City of San <br />Leandro. <br /> <br />Nancy Van Huffel, President of the Eden Area League of Women Voters, accepted the <br />proclamation. <br /> <br />B. Resolution Commending Charles Gilcrest for His Years of Service on the Human <br />Services Commission. <br />
