CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> <br />District 1 Councilmember-elect Michael Gregory led the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br /> <br />B. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Members Badger, Grant, Santos, Starosciak, Stephens; Mayor Young <br /> <br />ABSENT: Member Nardine <br /> <br />2. PRESENTATIONSIRECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />A. Recognition of the Employee of the Quarter, Rick Gonzales, Engineering Inspector, <br />Engineering and Transportation Department. <br /> <br />Rick Gonzales was present to receive his award. <br /> <br />Mayor Young announced the following presentations were made since the last regular City <br />Council meeting: <br /> <br />. A Proclamation was issued declaring October 16, 2006 as "W orId Spine Day" in San <br />Leandro. <br />. A Proclamation was issued declaring September 16, 2006 as "Our Lady of Penafrancia <br />Day" in San Leandro. <br /> <br />Mayor Young introduced members of the City's Youth Advisory Commission.
