CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> <br />Peggy Combs led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Young announced that the July 19, 2004 City Council nleeting will be the last <br />regular meeting before the Council recesses for the month of August. <br /> <br />B. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Members Badger, Grant, Nardine, Santos; Mayor Young <br /> <br />ABSENT: Members Glaze, Stephens <br /> <br />2. PRESENTATIONS/RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />A. Recognition of the Employee of the Month for the Month of July 2004, <br />Ana Corti, Laboratory Technician, Water Pollution Control Plant, Public Works <br />Services Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Young announced the following presentations made since the last regular City Council <br />meeting: <br /> <br />. Certificate of Appreciation to Gil Raposo for his year as President of the San Leandro <br />Breakfast Club. <br />· Contribution from the Mayor's Community Fund to the San Leandro Historical Society <br />for the Day at the Casa on July 18, 2004. <br />· Proclamation declaring June 27, 2004 as "Bay Area Negro Spirituals Heritage/Spirituals <br />Heritage Keepers Day' in San Leandro. <br />
