CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 5:50 p.m. <br /> <br />A. Roll Call <br /> <br />Present: Members Gregory, Starosciak (arrived at 6:12), Souza, Stephens (left at <br />(dO); Mayor Santos <br /> <br />Absent: Vice Mayor (Jrant <br /> <br />2. BUSINESS ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Meeting with federal government liaison Len Simon to discuss grant funding <br />opportunities for City projects and programs. <br /> <br />Len Simon, the City's Federal AfTairs Representative, discussed with the City Council <br />his rirm's rolc; past e11Cnis and successes in obtaining fcderal suppOIi and assistance for <br />City projects; and strategies for meeting with legislative representatives and their stans <br />and other federal officials dUling the National League of Cities' Washington, D.C. <br />Con Icrence in March. <br /> <br />Mr. Simon will work with City staff in developing a potential projects list far discussion <br />with federal representatives and officials. The Council will review the projects list and <br />narrow the projects to two to three far presentation lT1 Washington, D.C. <br /> <br />3. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Public Comments may be lirnited to 3 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. The public is invited to make any conHnents related to Agenda items, or other items <br />of public interest, at this time. <br /> <br />None. <br />
