Discussion Regarding Proposed Senior Housing Development (2121 East 14th Street) <br /> <br />Housing Manager Liao provided an update on the status of the Senior Housing development <br />proposed by Eden Housing for the old Sir Richard's car lot at 2121 East 14th Street. Based <br />on input from the March 7, 2007 community meeting, as well as meetings with HOAs and <br />the school, Eden is proposing a three story, 51-unit senior housing development with surface <br />parking. A second meeting at McKinley school is schedule for April 18, 2007. Eden is in <br />the process of finalizing financing and the City's contribution, through set-aside funds, is <br />anticipated to be approximately $3.5m of the $16.5m project, or $70k per unit. The units are <br />563 square feet and will cost approximately $325k each to build. <br /> <br />Planning Manager Pollart reviewed the City permit approval process which will include a <br />site plan review and a parking exemption scheduled to go to the Board of Zoning <br />Adjustments on May 3rd. As part of the project, the utilities on East 14th Street will be <br />underground. The project is scheduled to go to Council in July 2007 for approval. <br /> <br />2. Update on the Residential Rehabilitation Program <br /> <br />Housing Manager Liao introduced Vicky Johnson from Neighborhood Solutions, the business <br />that manages the City's residential rehabilitation program. The purpose of the program is to <br />assist low and very low income individuals (most of whom are seniors) with home repairs such <br />
