Discussion Regarding the Central Alameda County Freeway Study <br /> <br />Beth Walukas from (ACCMA) gave a PowerPoint Presentation regarding the Central <br />Alameda County Freeway Study and introduced the Local Alternative Transportation <br />Improvement Program (LA TIP). She explained that LA TIP is a prioritized list of state <br />highway projects that will provide congestion relief in corridors such as 1-238, 1-580 and <br />1-880 that would have benefited from the Hayward Bypass project which did not come to <br />pass. At this time, the developed priority list is not constrained by financial funding but <br />is based on technical feasibility. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. Committee Member Gregory asked how the City of San Leandro can <br />stay on the list and asked specifically about the Davis Street overpass. Beth explained <br />that some of the projects affect the city and others do not directly affect San Leandro. <br />She further indicated that the current list was established based on some criteria related to <br />the project's technical feasibility to meet the goal stated above. She also explained that <br />other projects that are not on the LA TIP can potentially be funded by other sources if <br />included in the County Wide Transportation Plan.
