This trail includes a 300-foot bridge that will cross the San Leandro
Slough between the Water Pollution Control Plant/Oakland Airport and the Oyster Bay Regional
Shoreline in the city of San Leandro (the City). As part of this project, the City will construct a
connecting trail segment of approximately 600 feet to the north of the bridge. The project will
connect two existing segments of the Bay Trail and will allow trail users to stay on a Class I
bicycle trail adjacent to the bay instead of taking a circuitous route on busy city streets.
