Discussion Re ag riling Burrell Field Options (Renovation/Replacement) <br />City Manager Jermanis stated that several proponents of Burrell Field came to a <br />City Council meeting and presented a citizens' petition for its relocation and/or <br />rehabilitation. The Burrell site's market value is $25M, whereas a rehabilitation <br />is estimated to cost $12M. Discussion regarding a possibility of using Oyster Bay <br />in conjunction with the East Bay Regional Parks for relocation. This would <br />reduce the cost of land acquisition and allow the proceeds from the sale of the <br />property to be used for a new facility. Some expressed concerns over factors such <br />as weather and accessibility with the Oyster Bay location. A preliminary report <br />on the feasibility of the Oyster Bay Sports Complex should be completed within <br />the next several months. <br />
