Update on the Issuance of Joint Project Area Tax Allocation Bonds <br />City Manager Jermanis provided the Committee a brief update on the Joint Project Area <br />issuance of approximately $35 million in Tax Allocation Bonds. Jermanis explained that <br />these funds will be allocated for capital improvement projects, which include the <br />construction of a Senior Center at East 14th Street and 136`h Avenue, the reconstruction and <br />expansion of the downtown parking garage, and the undergrounding of utilities on East 14th <br />Street from Blossom Way to 150th Avenue. The Committee discussed the approval process <br />for the issuance of the bonds. <br />2. Update on ICI and Kaiser Permanente Development at the Former Albertson's <br />Distribution Site <br />City Manager Jermanis introduced Community Development Director Sims who updated the <br />Committee on recent progress regarding the Kaiser Permanente (Kaiser) and ICI <br />Development on the 65 acre Marina Boulevard and Merced Street site. Sims explained that <br />Kaiser, given the Office of Statewide Health and Planning Development (OSHPOD) recent <br />streamlining of the hospital development process and payment. of their $5.2 million <br />contribution for infrastructure improvements related to the Marina Boulevard and I-880 <br />
