CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br />Councilmember Gregory led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />B. Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Members Grant, Gregory, Prola, Souza, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Santos <br />ABSENT: None <br />2. PRESENTATIONS/RECOGNITIONS <br />A. Proclamation Declaring May 12 18, 2008 as "Affordable Housing Week" in San <br />Leandro. <br />Dan Martinez and Michael Wharton, members of Congregations Organizing for <br />Renewal (COR), accepted the "Affordable Housing Week" proclamation presented by <br />Mayor Santos. Mr. Martinez and Mr. Wharton thanked the City Council for its support <br />of affordable housing. <br />B. Resolution No. 2008-044, Resolution Appointing Adan Alonzo and Hillary Van <br />Austen as At Large Members to Personnel Relations Board. (1016) <br />Newly appointed Personnel Relations Board Members Adan Alonzo and Hillary Van <br />Austen took the Oath of Office administered by City Clerk Marian Handa. <br />
