,, <br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF, THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />ORDINANCE N0.2003 -009 (1413/2850) <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 1-3-115 OF THE SAN LEANDRO <br />MiTNICTPAL CODE AND ADDING A NEW SECTION 1-3-115 TO THE SAN <br />LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO TERM OF OFFICE FOR <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS AND REPEALING SECTION 1-3-120 <br />The City Council of the City of San Leandro ORDAINS as follows: <br />SECTION 1. Section 1-3-115 of the Ciry of San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby <br />repealed. <br />SECTION 2. The City of San Leandro Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding a <br />new Section 1-3-115 entitled "Members-Term of Office" to said Code, as follows: <br />"1-3-115 MEMBERS -TERM OF OFFICE <br />(a) Members of the following Boards and Commissions who were <br />appointed from a specific Council Member District pursuant to Section 1-3-110 <br />herein ("District Members") may hold office for up to four (4) years, commencing <br />on the date of appointment: <br />(1) Board of Zoning Adjustments; <br />(2) Human Services Commission; <br />(3) Library-Historical Commission; <br />(4) Planning Commission; <br />(5) Recreation and Parks Commission; and <br />(6) Senior Commission. <br />The terms of District Members shall terminate upon the expiration of the regular <br />term of the Council Member representing the Council Member District from which <br />the District Member was appointed. The City Council may fill a vacancy by <br />appointment for the unexpired remainder of the term. <br />(b) Any members of the Boards and Commissions listed in section (a) <br />above who were appointed at large pursuant to Section 1-3-110 herein ("At Large <br />Members") may hold office for up to four (4) years, commencing on the date of <br />appointment.
